Majed Abdulkarim Julfar, the Director of Trade Credit Insurance & Export Financing at Etihad Credit Insurance (ECI) spearheads the Trade Credit Insurance and Export Financing function by providing strategic and commercial expertise to achieve sustainable portfolio growth for ECI. Majed is responsible for the Business Development function and structuring. With his proven track record and experience. Majed plays an important role in building up the quality portfolio and footprint in the UAE by creating and offering sustainable, robust and bespoke solutions to UAE corporates helping them grow whilst mitigating & managing the risks efficiently.
Majed has over 25 years of diverse experience in corporate and investment banking. Majed joined ECI in March 2019 from Deutsche Bank, where he spent more than 8 years as Head of UAE – Corporate and Investment Banking, managing strategic clients such as sovereign wealth funds, GREs, large corporates and financial institutions by proving them debt and equity capital markets solutions, advisory services, M&A, treasury solutions.
Majed also held key senior management positions in leading financial institutions including Emirates NBD Bank, Dubai Bank and ABN Amro Bank.
